Being up in Lamar Valley already with the Hecimovic clan, we decided to walk Slough Creek after Trout Lake. Slough Creek starts off the road into Slough Creek campground and is a relatively flat trail that is currently used by horses (a lot of horse apples on this one.) The trail continues on out of the park, but we only went a couple miles into see the creek and then quickly headed back when we realized how horribly buggy it was in the flood plain area. Yikes!
Ilija slept for a bit on the hike. We walked quickly by a bison up on the hillside. We took many pictures of wildflowers (expect another flower post). Chatted a lot with the fam. On the way back Ilija even walked about a mile on his own. I really think the hiking stick helps him walk better (see how well he drags it behind :)).
