Little by little

We are slowly figuring things out about our impending move and checking things off of our must-do-in-Massachusetts-prior-to-move list.  We have...
  • made it up to Acadia
  • out to our favorite breakfast place (where Ilija ate eggs for the first time)
  • had pizza at Joes (yum! may need to go again)
  • got a souvenir from our favorite asparagus valley potter
  • and I just had my last class meeting of the semester (now the hard part of grading all of the final assignments and getting grades in happens)

I had a conference call with my supervisor at the park and I am getting really excited about my new position and responsibilities and we found out we will be living in Mammoth!  My folks are going to head into the park this Friday to check out the apartment and Ilija's new childcare (what a big boy--he will be going to daycare!), then we will have even more information to help the packing portion of this adventure.

Yes, we are wearing hoodies from three different states.  We love our hoodies!

A Year in Yellowstone

Katrina and I will be documenting our year in Yellowstone here. In case we were delinquent in telling you, Katrina is a National Parks Fellow for the next year, a prestigious position with only four or five being selected nationally (I like to brag about my wife)! She will be doing transportation engineering and planning for the park. I on the other hand will be taking a little time off from UMass to get ready to start at UW-Platteville and to explore the park with Katrina, Ilija, and to a lesser extent, Pirate (sorry, no dogs in the park).

We will keep posting here as news comes up. First things first, packing up the house!
